Wedding Challenge

The 2008 Wedding Challenge sponsored by Etsy street teams: JET (Jewelry on Etsy team), EtsyFAST (Fiber Arts Street Team) and Etsy Greetings.
The challenge - to create a piece that would be a perfect fit for Autumn and John's wedding event. Design for the wedding, reception or the honeymoon - the choice is yours. **Please see challenge rules below.

**Wedding Challenge Rules**:

1. One entry per participant

2. Participant must be a member of one of the following street teams: Jewelry on Etsy Team (JET), EtsyGreetings, or EtsyFAST.

And here is my entry. Made from glass pearls, silver grey glass beads and beautiful flower designed clasps which act as part of the creation.

We Are Relieved Again!

Since having breast cancer in 2000 I have gone through a few scares. This last one was a nightmare.

First scare was backache and ended up being a deformed lumbar thingy.

Second was a cyst on my cervix. Turned out OK.

This last scare was for bowel cancer. Geez I thought. I had blood tests monthly for 3 months all showing an elevated CEA figure (highest being 3.7). After checking on the internet that smokers could go up to 5 and I do smoke I thought "not a problem". Doc insisted that further checks be done. So I have just spent yesterday at the local hospital so a specialist could have a looky in the "you know whaty". I can only describe the last 2 days of prep as ....... baby wipes.


Anyway results are clear. I am free from the body invasion. What a great relief for the family and I.
